Social Media for Artists

The SCC is holding a two-day, hands-on social media workshop in both Saskatoon and Regina. These workshops are open to all SCC members, as well as non-members.

Saskatoon –  February 7 & 8, 2015

Regina – February 28 & March 1, 2015

Day 1: 1-4pm
Social media expert Aidan Morgan will deliver a lecture-style workshop on the importance of social media. This artist-tailored presentation on social media platforms will focus on marketing, building connections, and engaging with customers, galleries, arts organizations and the public.

Day 2: 9am-4pm
Part 1 – In a computer lab, a Sask Poly instructor will lead participants through an introduction to social media and email which will include hands-on work with Outlook, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
Part 2 – In a computer lab, a Sask Poly instructor will help participants build a Facebook page and/or other social media presence from the tools covered in the morning session.

Follow up: 30 minute follow up sessions (to happen via phone or email 2-4 weeks after the workshop) will be scheduled on Day 2.

Registration is now open. Space is limited to 25 people per workshop.
