Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery – Call for Exhibition Proposals

The SCC Gallery presents up to eight exhibitions annually.  Applications are accepted from craftspeople, curators and galleries for solo, two-person and group exhibitions reflecting craft history and current practice.  Currently we are booked through to August, 2010 and are looking for exhibitions to consider after that time.

PROCESS & CRITERIA
The Exhibitions & Education Coordinators along with the SCC Curatorial Committee assess all applications. Information from each applicant is sent to members of the Curatorial Committee prior to an annual review meeting where proposals are considered along with their support material. The Curatorial Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the Coordinators.

The SCC looks for work that will contribute to and challenge the craft community.  Curated or juried exhibitions are encouraged, especially for groups.  Saskatchewan shows are balanced with about one out-of-province exhibition per year, which should be curated or juried.  There is also consideration for representative balance in the craft mediums we exhibit.

PROCEDURE
Information is detailed via the link below or by contacting Les or Judy at 653.3616 Ext. 25 or email: scc.exhibitions@sasktel.net.

Applications should include high quality images (slides or digital), a concise exhibition description or proposal and CV’s of participants. Additional support material should minimal, but could include recent reviews or other relevant information about the applicant(s).
