June Jacobs
June's fibre work reflects various techniques depending on the ideas rendering. These techniques include: felting, nuno felting hand and machine embroidery, appliqué and quilting, traditional rug braiding and hooking. Floral and gardening and nature’s wonders are themes that are frequently addressed in the subject of the work, giving special detail to the texture and colour and more recently in three dimensional sculptural context.
June Jacobs has been active in Saskatchewan crafts for more than twenty five years in a variety of capacities: fibre artist, Exhibitor, The Hand Wave Gallery owner, workshop participant, adjudicator and juror, active Sask. Craft Council member and guild member and coordinator of many arts related activities.
