Louise Tessier
Combining her passions for the written word, botanical themes, carving, stamping and working with clay, Louise (Hudec) Tessier finds great satisfaction in creating her original design clay art tiles and lino prints.
Once a design is created, it is transferred to a lino block, carved and used as a stamp which can be impressed onto paper or into clay slabs. The complete process brings together the disciplines of graphic arts, printmaking and ceramics... resulting in an innovative surface treatment to each “Garden Rhymes” piece.
Born and raised in Leader, Saskatchewan, Louise received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan (with areas of concentration in art and music) and she has made Regina her home for the past 20 years.
