Open studio at North Star Gallery

North Star Gallery will have an Open Studio Show & Sale on Saturday, May 12 to Sunday, May 13, 2012, from 11:00 am - 6:00pm.

View new work by ceramic artist Mel Bolen and paintings by Karen Holden. Enjoy a day in the country, pack a picnic, watch demonstrations, enjoy refreshments, and music by "Wires & Wood". Karen's red barn studio will be open to the public this year as well. Find us at 16 km west of Humboldt & 6 km south.

ART TREK Studio Discovery Tour - June 8 & 9, 2012

Five artist groups are coming together on June 8 and 9, 2012, to promote an Urban Art Tour in the heart of Saskatoon!

The public is invited to visit the working spaces of the St. George Studios where paintings and sculpture are in various stages of completion. The 330 Design Studio is a delightful grotto in the basement of a former community hall and theater where artistic ventures are imagined and realized. The MIX Artists' Collective is located in a charming little gallery just a stone's throw from the river's edge. Exciting works can be expected from the Artists' Workshop who have a large dedicated following to their yearly spring exhibition. Finally, the adventurous plein air artists, The Men Who Paint, we can't wait to see what they do next!

This is going to be THE weekend in Saskatoon for art lovers! Take the Studio Tour at your own pace to discover some of Saskatoon's finest artists and also check out the Waterfront Craft Art Festival at River landing on Saturday, June 9. We hope you can join us!

Spirit of Manitou - Studio Trail

Saturday, July 7, 2012, from 10:00am to 7:00pm
Sunday, July 8, 2012, from Noon to 6:00pm

Follow the signs for a self-guided tour of artists and artisans in their unique studios in East Central Saskatchewan: Meacham, Viscount, Allan, Watrous, Manitou Beach.

This Studio Trail features local artists and artisans who have come together to present their works to you. Check participants to see which offer demonstrations, restrooms and wheelchair accessibility. Jump on the trail anywhere you wish, follow the brochure's map to find the next artisan or artist. Make sure to have your Passport stamped at each studio; this will qualify you for a chance to win a prize.
